Objectives
THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS TO HELP STUDENTS DEVELOP THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LANGUAGE, THE METHODS, AND THE TOOLS OF COMPUTER GRAPHICS FOR THE SURVEY OF ARCHITECTURE. THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE OF DIGITAL GRAPHIC TECHNIQUES FOR THE CREATION, VISUALIZATION, PRESENTATION AND COMMUNICATION OF A GRAPHIC PROJECT OF SURVEY. ADVANCED TECHNIQUES OF MODELING WILL BE ALSO ILLUSTRATED: FROM VIRTUAL PROTOTYPING TO REVERSE ENGINEERING AND RAPID PROTOTYPING.
Prerequisites
FOR THE SUCCESSFUL ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TRAINING OBJECTIVES IS REQUIRED THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF THE GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION, BUILDING TECHNOLOGY, STRUCTURAL MECHANICS AND THE USE OF GRAPHIC SOFT WARES TO CONTROL THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL SPACE.
Contents
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF TWO INTEGRATED MODULES: THE FIRST "ANALOGICAL SURVEY" AND THE SECOND OF "DIGITAL SURVEY". DURING THE “ANALOGICAL SURVEY" WILL DEAL WITH QUESTIONS OF SALERNO SITIES. THE SAME SUBJECT WILL BE DISCUSSED IN THE "DIGITAL SURVEY": THEORETICAL/PRACTICAL PRINCIPLES OF SURVEY; PROCESSING; UNCONVENTIONAL SURVEY TECHNIQUES; 3D LASER TECHNOLOGIES. THIS TOPICS AIM TO DEVELOP THE CRITICAL-SELECTIVE CAPACITY TO IDENTIFY THE SURVEY TECHNIQUE APT TO THE SPECIFIC CASE.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF LECTURES, LABORATORY EXERCISES AND PRACTICAL EXERCISES. THE COURSE IS BASED ALSO ON EXERCISES ON THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING SOFTWARE. DURING ALL LABORATORY ACTIVITIES A SURVEY THEME WILL DEVELOP. IT WILL SUMMARIZE ALL OF THE CONTENT OF TEACHING – FROM VISUAL SURVEY TO LASER SCANNING – IN ORDER TO DEVELOP CRITICAL SKILLS TO WORKING IN TEAMS.
Verification of learning
THE ORAL EXAMINATION INVOLVES THE DISCUSSION ABOUT THE SURVEY ELABORATES AND THE TOPICS OF THE LECTURES.
