LECTURES PROMOTE A APPROPRIATE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF ITALIAN LITERATURE AND OF ITS STYLISTIC, SYNTACTICAL AND HISTORICAL PARTICULARITIES, AS TOOL FOR THE TRANSMISSION OF THE LINGUISTIC COMPETENCES THROUGH NARRATIVE MODELS. ABILITY TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGES ACQUIRED IN THE FIELD OF THE ITALIAN LITERATURE TO KNOW HOW TO USE IN CORRECT AND CONCEPTUALLY APPROPRIATED WAY THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE. |

PATHS OF ITALIAN LITERATURE BETWEEN THE 18TH AND THNOE 20TH CENTURIES THROUGH THE MOST SIGNIFICANT AUTHORS (GOLDONI, PARINI, ALFIERI, FOSCOLO, MANZONI, LEOPARDI, VERGA, SVEVO, PIRANDELLO, TOZZI, MORAVIA, CALVINO) AND TEXTS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LITERATURE AND BEHAVIOURAL PATTERNS. BEFORE THE TEXTS PRESENT IN THE LITERARY HISTORY MANUAL THE STUDENTS REFER TO THE EXAMINATION ON I. SVEVO, "LA COSCIENZA DI ZENO". |

THE EXAM WILL BE ORAL AND WILL CHECK THE STUDENT’S KNOWLEDGE EITHER OF THE MAIN TOPICS OF THE COURSE AND OF THE TEXTS ANALYSED DURING THE LESSONS (ONLY FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE ATTENDED THE COURSE), OR OF THE TEXTS OUTLINED IN THE SYLLABUS (FOR THOSE WHO HAVE AND HAVE NOT ATTENDED THE LESSONS). THE CANDIDATE WILL BE ASSESSED BY MEANS OF THE FOLLOWING PARAMETERS, APART FROM THE CONTENT KNOWLEDGE: A) THE PERTINENCE IN GIVING CORRECT ANSWERS; B) THE ABILITY TO ORGANIZE A PERSONAL, COHERENT AND CRITICALLY STRUCTURED EXPOSITION; C) LEXICAL COMPETENCE AND VARIETY OF REGISTERS USED; D) A THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF LITERARY TEXTS ANALYZING STRATEGIES (BASIC COMPETENCE). |
