Objectives
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
KNOWLEDGE OF METHODS AND TECHNIQUES FOR UNDERSTANDING AND ANALYZING A BUILDING ORGANISM FROM A COMPOSITIONAL, CONSTRUCTIVE, FUNCTIONAL AND MATERIALS POINT OF VIEW, AIMED AT THE ABILITY TO RE-PROPOSE AND RE-ELABORATE SUCH METHODS AND KNOWLEDGE IN THE DESIGN OF A BUILDING.
ACQUISITION OF THE ABILITY TO EXPRESS IN GRAPHIC TERMS THE ELEMENTS CHARACTERIZING THE BUILDING ORGANISM.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
UNDERSTAND THE TERMINOLOGY USED IN THE CONCEPTUAL, LOGICAL AND PHYSICAL MODELS OF THE BUILDING, THE FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF THE ARCHITECTURAL GRAPHIC LANGUAGE AND THE PROJECT METHODOLOGIES.
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
KNOW HOW TO DEVELOP GRAPHIC MODELS AND REPORTS FOR THE ANALYSIS, READING AND STUDY OF SPATIAL SOLUTIONS AND BUILDING TECHNOLOGY THROUGH THE COGNITIVE AND TRANSFORMATIVE PROCESSES OF COMPOSING AND BUILDING, AS WELL AS THE PROBLEMS CONNECTED TO BUILDING DESIGN.
AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT
KNOWING HOW TO IDENTIFY THE MOST APPROPRIATE METHODS TO UNDERSTAND AND RENDER IN GRAPHIC FORM THE COMPOSITIONAL CHARACTERS AND CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS AT THE VARIOUS SCALES OF REPRESENTATION, OPTIMIZING THE PROCESS IN RELATION TO THE ASSIGNED THEME.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS KNOWING HOW TO WORK IN A GROUP AND ORALLY AND GRAPHICALLY EXPLAIN A TOPIC RELATED TO THE TOPICS COVERED DURING TEACHING.
LEARNING SKILLS KNOWING HOW TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AND KNOWING HOW TO INDEPENDENTLY LEARN NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE CONSTRUCTION FIELD.
Prerequisites
THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIRED FOR THE SUCCESSFUL ACHIEVEMENT OF THE STATED OBJECTIVES
BASIC KNOWLEDGE WITH REFERENCE TO THE METHODS OF GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF
BUILDING ARTIFACTS PROPER TO TECHNICAL DRAWING

Teaching Methods
THEORETICAL LECTURES
IN THE THEORETICAL LECTURES (TOTAL OF 48 HOURS) WILL BE PRESENTED THE TOPICS
GIVEN IN THE "COURSE CONTENTS" SECTION.
Verification of learning
THE ASSESSMENT OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SET OBJECTIVES IS MADE
BY MEANS OF A FINAL ORAL EXAMINATION COVERING THE THEORETICAL TOPICS OF THE
LESSONS
ASSESSMENT IS UNIQUE AND WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE RESULTS ACHIEVED BETWEEN MOD.1 AND
MOD.2. AND IS EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS.
FOR THE PURPOSE OF HONORS WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT:
- THE QUALITY OF THE EXPOSITION, IN TERMS OF THE USE OF TECHNICAL LANGUAGE
APPROPRIATE;
- THE ABILITY TO CROSS-CORRELATE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TOPICS OF THE
COURSE AND, WHERE POSSIBLE, WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES;
- OF THE AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT DEMONSTRATED
THE ASSESSMENT IS SINGLE AND IS EXPRESSED IN THIRTIETHS. THE EXAMINATION TIME IS 25 MINUTES.
