GENERAL OBJECTIVE THE COURSE AIMS TO INTRODUCE THE STUDENT TO THE FUNDAMENTAL TOPICS, CATEGORIES AND PROBLEMS OF THE PHILOSOPHICAL HERMENEUTICS THROUGH ANALYSIS OF THE THOUGHTS OF THE MAIN AUTHORS AND THE KEY WORKS OF THE DISCIPLINE. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL HAVE A WAY TO KNOW: THE FUNDAMENTAL THEMES AND PROBLEMS OF PHILOSOPHICAL HERMENEUTICS; METHODOLOGIES AND INVESTIGATION INSTRUMENTS OF THE DISCIPLINE; THE KEY TERMS AND CONCEPTS OF THE HERMENEUTIC TRADITION; THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS OF THE HERMENEUTIC DEBATE. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: ORIENT YOURSELF BETWEEN THE FUNDAMENTAL CATEGORIES, THE PROBLEMS AND THE LINES OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE DISCIPLINE; USE CORRECTLY AND CONSCIOUSLY THE KEY TERMS AND CONCEPTS OF THE HERMENEUTIC TRADITION; ANALYZE AND INTERPRET THE TEXTS CRITICALLY THROUGH THE USE OF THE MAIN HERMENEUTICAL TOOLS. AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - FORMULATE ANALYSIS AND ADVANCE TEXT INTERPRETATIONS BY APPLYING THE APPROPRIATE HERMENEUTIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS; - CRITICALLY EVALUATE THE ARGUMENTS PRESENTED; - INTERACTING WITH ALTERITY (CULTURAL, HISTORICAL, INTELLECTUAL, IDEOLOGICAL, RELIGIOUS) WITH A SENSITIVITY AND ABILITY OF UNDERSTANDING AND JUDGMENT OF A HERMENEUTIC MATRIX. COMMUNICATION SKILLS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: COMMUNICATE THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED BOTH IN SPECIALIST CONTEXTS AND IN NON-SPECIALIST CONTEXTS; DEMONSTRATE SKILLS IN INTERPRETATION AND EXPOSURE OF TEXTS; USE THE MOST CURRENT INTERPRETATION AND COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN THE HERMENEUTIC DEBATE. LEARNING ABILITY THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - DEMONSTRATE A BAGGAGE OF KNOWLEDGE AND BASIC SKILLS USEFUL FOR CONTINUING STUDIES; - DEMONSTRATE HERMENEUTIC SKILLS IN THE FIELD OF PUBLIC COMMUNICATION. - DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO GET ORIENTED IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY LITERATURE RELATED TO THE FIELD OF THE THEORY OF INTERPRETATION. |

FRONTAL LESSONS, ACCOMPANIED BY READING, COMMENTARY AND INTERPRETATION OF KEY PASSAGES FROM THE PHILOSOPHICAL TEXT. THE LESSONS WILL BE INTEGRATED BY SOME SEMINAR MOMENTS AIMED AT DEVELOPING THE ABILITY TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF DISCUSSIONS ON THE HISTORICAL AND HERMENEUTICAL CONTEXTUALISATION, ON THE THEORETICAL DEPTH AND ON THE SPECULATIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MAIN ISSUES DEATED. |

THE EXAM (30 min.) CONSISTS OF AN ORAL TEST, AIMING TO VERIFY THE STUDENT’S KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING IN THE FIELD OF STUDIES, AS WELL AS HIS/HER ABILITY TO USE FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE AND METHODOLOGIES PECULIAR TO PHILOSOPHICAL Hermeneutics (up to 21 points). DURING THE CONVERSATION, THE ABILITY TO CLEARLY COMMUNICATE THE LEARNED CONTENTS, ALONG WITH THE ARGUMENTATIVE AND HERMENEUTIC SKILLS ACQUIRED DURING THE COURSE, WILL ALSO BE EVALUATED (up to 30 points). THE LODE MAY BE ATTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS GIVING THE MAXIMUM VOTE OF 30/30 AND DEMONSTRATE TO APPLY IN AUTONOMOUS ORIGINAL KNOWLEDGE AND ACQUISITE COMPETENCES. |
