Scientific Activity

- Main Topic:

  1. Valorization of plant matrices as source of ingredients in the production of dietary supplements, functional foods and food additives;
  2. Qualitative and quantitative profiling and metabolomics of plant and food matrices;
  3. Development of innovative extraction and isolation techniques to obtain bioactive and functional ingredients from natural sources;
  4. Development and validation of conventional and innovative analytical procedures to analyze contaminants (principally mycotoxins, phytotoxins and emerging contaminants) in food and enviromental matrices;
  5. Quality control and safety of foods, dietary supplements and functional foods.

- Co-author of 96 papers on international scientific journal peer-reviewed and 2 book chapters (Scopus Author ID: 6603964496; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6102-2762),

- Guest Editor of two special issue (Q1)

- Reviewer for more than 20 high level scientific journals in Food sciences and Analytical chemistry.
