Amedeo CAPOBIANCO Curriculum

Amedeo Capobianco graduated in Chemistry at the University Federico II (Naples) in 2003 under the supervision of prof. Giuseppe del Re.

In 2008 he earned his PhD at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Salerno, working in the research group directed by prof. Andrea Peluso.

From 2007 to 2015 he worked as a post-doc researcher at the Department of Chemistry and Biology and the Department of Physics E.R. Caianiello of the University of Salerno, working in collaboration with prof. Andrea Peluso and the prof. Canio Noce.

In 2011 he was visiting scientist at INPE (National Instritute of Space Research, Brazil).

From 2015 to 2018 he worked as a tenure track assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biology of the University of Salerno.

Since April 2018 he is an associate professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biology of the University of Salerno.

His main research interests concern: i) redox processes in biochemical systems; ii) theoretical design of new materials for non-linear optics; iii) oxidative damage of DNA; iv) theoretical study of spectral band shapes; v) charge transfer processes in biological systems and organic materials.
