Annalisa DE CARO Curriculum

Associate Professor of Experimental Physics (SSD FIS/01) at the Department of Physics “E. R. Caianiello”.

December 1999: Graduated in Physics, cum Laude, at the University of Salermo with a thesis: “Alcuni studi di R&D nell'ambito del Progetto ELN”.

May 2004: Ph.D. in Physics at University of Bologna.

Research activity: High Energy Sub-Nuclear Physics, Simulation of detectors for Nuclear/Sub-nuclear Physics, big-data analysis, rare-signal research.

I am CERN associate since 1998.

I has been operating, all along her career, in the European laboratories of CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research, Geneva, CH). Member of ALICE (CERN, Geneva, Switzerland) Collaboration.

Referee of many international journals.

Responsible for the analysis and detector simulation activities of the Salerno sub-nuclear physics group participating to ALICE Experiment (CERN).

Responsible for many years of the offline activities for the ALICE Time-Of-Flight apparatus.

Member of the Offline Board of ALICE International Scientific Collaboration.

Scientific associate to the research activities of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN).

Italian Physics Society (SIF) member since 2001.

I am author and co-author of more than 330 scientific papers on peer-reviewed international journals on topics as nuclear and sub-nuclear physics, applied physics and instrumentation and techniques for nuclear physics.

Coordinator of the Salerno sub-nuclear physics outreach group, member of the International Particle-Physics Outreach Group (IPPOG).
