Claudio GUARNACCIA Curriculum
Claudio Guarnaccia is Associate Professor of Physics at the Civil Engineering Department of University of Salerno.
He took the M.Sc (2004) and PhD (2008) in Physics, at the Physics Department "E.R.Caianiello" of University of Salerno. He did a large Post Doc research activity both in the Physics Department and in the Industrial Engineering Department of University of Salerno.
His research activity is focused on the application of Physics to Engineering and Biomedical problems. Main stream of research is Acoustics.
He works with several national and international research institute, such as the Institute of Acoustics and Sensors of the CNR (Italy), the “Institudo de Matematicas” of the “Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico”, the University of Aveiro (Portugal), Universidad del Carmen (Mexico), Institute of Technology of Patiala (India), etc..
He is member of several national and international organizations, such as Italian Acoustics Association (AIA), International Commission for Occupational Health (ICOH), World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society (WSEAS). He cooperates with different important research institutes, such as Acoustics and Sensors Institute of the National Counsel of Research (CNR) and the “Institudo de Matematicas” of the National University of Mexico (UNAM).
He is editor-in-chief of the “International Journal of Education and Information Technologies” and associate editor of “WSEAS Transactions on Systems” and “International Journal of Mechanics”. He is member of the Editorial Board of some international journals, such as "Applied Sciences" and "Acoustics". In addition, he is referee for several international journals, such as “Applied Acoustics”, “Journal of Environmental Management”, "Transportation Research", “Sustainability”, “Energies”, etc..
He is author of more than 130 papers in international journals and proceedings of international conferences with referee. He was invited in several conferences, also as “plenary lecturer”, to present the results of his research.
In 2019 he was appointed “NoiseCapture ambassador” in the framework of the international project "Noise Planet", for his contribution in the acoustic noise advanced modeling research field.
Since 2005 he cooperates at the teaching activities and from 2007 he has been appointed teaching assistant in all the Physics courses, at the Engineering Faculty of Salerno University. In 2012 he started a teaching activity at the Engineering Faculty of Sannio University, in Benevento (Italy). Since march 2013 he is Professor of Physics at the Civil Engineering Department of University of Salerno (Italy).
