Francesco ROMEO Curriculum

F. Romeo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics "E. R. Caianiello" at the University of Salerno (since February 2022). He obtained a degree in Physics from the University of Salerno in 2001, and a teaching qualification in Mathematics and Physics from the State University of Milan in May 2004. In 2008, he received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Salerno.

Throughout his academic career, he has conducted research in various institutions, such as the "Laboratoire de Physique et Modélisation des Milieux Condensés" in Grenoble, France, a laboratory belonging to CNRS, where he was a visiting Ph.D. student from 2006 to 2007. In April 2018, he was awarded the national scientific qualification (ASN) for the role of second-tier professor in "Theoretical Physics of Matter" (02/B2).

Before his appointment as an associate professor, he worked as a researcher (RTD/B) at the Department of Physics "E. R. Caianiello" from February 2019 to January 2022. His research focuses on the theoretical characterization of condensed matter systems in equilibrium and non-equilibrium conditions, and he has published over 100 scientific papers in international journals. F. Romeo has also presented his research work at numerous national and international events.

F. Romeo serves as a referee for several scientific journals and has contributed as a guest editor to the publication of some monographic volumes (special issues). He is Associate Editor of "Frontiers in Physics" and co-author, along with Professor Roberto De Luca, of a physics book titled "Fisica in 48 ore", which was edited by Edises.
