Michele GRIMALDI Curriculum

Michele Grimaldi is an Associate Professor in Urban and Regional Planning and Design at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Salerno. He graduated with honors from the University of Salerno in 2005 with a degree in Civil Engineering, with a thesis on Urban Planning Techniques. He achieved a PhD in Civil Engineering for the Environment and Territory.

He has been a postdoctoral researcher and research fellow at the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Salerno. He teaches courses on Urban and Territorial Systems Analysis, related to the Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering for the Environment and Territory, and on Territory and Environmental Planning, related to the Master's degree in Environmental Sciences. He is the operational manager, under specific institutional agreements, for consultancy and technical-scientific support activities to entities for the drafting of urban planning tools for territorial governance. He is the Secretary of the Campania section of the National Institute of Urban Planning (INU) and the President of the provincial section of Avellino of the National Center for Urban Studies (CENSU). He is a member of the board and the scientific council of ASITA - Federation of Scientific Associations for Territorial and Environmental Information. He is the treasurer of the AM/FM/GIS Italy Association - Automated Mapping/Facilities Management/Geographic Information Systems/Italy. He is also a member of the Soil Consumption Observatory in Campania, established by INU-Campania and DIARC at the University of Federico II in Naples. He has published books, articles and essays on urban and regional planning.
