Luigi DI BENEDETTO Curriculum
Luigi Di Benedetto was born in Salerno, Italy, in 1984.
He received the B.Sc. and the M.Sc. degrees (cum laude) in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering from the University of Salerno, Fisciano, Italy, in 2006, 2009 and 2013, respectively.
Since 2021 he is Assistant Professor (RTD-B) in s.s.d. ING-INF/01 (Elettronica) at the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIIn), University of Salerno.
From 2018 to 2021 he is Assistant Professor (RTD-A) in s.s.d. ING-INF/01 (Elettronica) at the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIIn), University of Salerno.
From 2013 to 2018 he is a post-doc at the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIIn), University of Salerno.
Since 2016 he is untenured professor of Elettronica Analogica course (9 CFU) in Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering at the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIIn), University of Salerno, and since 2021 also of Elettronica dei Sistemi Digitali (3CFU) in Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering at the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIIn), University of Salerno
In 2013 he worked as Visiting Scientist at the Fraunhofer IISB and at Friedrich-Alexander University, Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, investigating on blocking behavior of 4H-SiC high voltage bipolar devices. In particular, he analyzed through numerical simulations in TCAD Sentaurus and designed the lateral terminations of 4H-SiC bipolar devices for blocking voltage higher than 3.3kV.
In 2008 he has been Visiting Student at KTH - Stockholm (Sweden) and he worked on the fabrication and electro-thermal characterizations of SiGe IR Multi Quantuum Well bolometers.
His main research interests include the modelling, simulation and development of high-power and sensor electronic devices based on wide bandgap semiconductor, the design of analogue and digital integrated circuits in SiC technology and of VLSI systems, and the design of power electronics circuits.
Since 2020 he is IEEE Senior member and in 2018 he has the ASN for Associate Professor in s.s.d. ING-INF/01, s.c. 09/E3 (Elettronica).
He published more than 90 papers in international journals and conferences and is reviewer for several international peer-review journals, also appointed Golden Reviewer IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices. He is an editorial board member of Active and Passive Electronic Components (ISSN:0882-7516) and Advances in Materials Science and Engineering (ISSN:1687-8434) published by Hindawi
