THE COURSE INTENDS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN METHODS OF QUALI-QUANTITATIVE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF PRODUCTS OF VEGETABLE ORIGIN. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - USE CHEMICAL REAGENTS IN COMPLIANCE WITH GENERAL SAFETY RULES; - UNDERSTAND THE GENERAL ASPECTS OF THE MAIN QUALI-QUANTITATIVE ANALYTICAL PROCEDURES VALIDATED FOR ORGANIC AND INORGANIC COMPOUNDS; - UNDERSTAND THE MAIN METHODS OF PURIFICATION AND ISOLATION OF PRODUCTS OF VEGETABLE ORIGIN. - ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING . AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: - CRITICALLY APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED FOR QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF COMPOUNDS OF VEGETABLE ORIGIN; - USE THE MAIN METHODS OF PURIFICATION AND ISOLATION OF PRODUCTS OF VEGETABLE ORIGIN. |
Prerequisites | |
---|---|
THE STUDENT MUST HAVE PASSED THE GENERAL AND INORGANIC CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS AND MATHEMATICS TEST. IN ADDITION, THE ACQUISITION OF THE ORGANIC CHEMISTRY COURSE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. |

Teaching Methods | |
---|---|
THE TEACHING CONSISTS OF 72 HOURS OF LESSONS (9 CREDITS) DIVIDED INTO 52 HOURS OF LECTURES AND 20 HOURS OF EXERCISES AND LABORATORY. LECTURES WILL BE HELD EVERY TWO WEEKS, FOCUSING ON SOLVING CALCULATION EXERCISES REGARDING THE TOPICS COVERED IN CLASS. IN ORDER TO ACCESS THE EXAM, THE STUDENT MUST TAKE AT LEAST 75% OF THE LABORATORY EXERCISES. |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE COURSE OBJECTIVES SHALL BE CERTIFIED BY PASSING A FINAL TEST WITH ASSESSMENT IN THIRTIES. THE TEST IS DIVIDED INTO TWO PROGRESSIVE AND SCHEDULED PHASES. FOR ACCESS TO THE NEXT STAGE IT IS MANDATORY TO PASS THE PREVIOUS TEST. THE FIRST TEST CONSISTS IN THE RESOLUTION OF FIVE EXERCISES, OF WHICH THREE FOR CALCULATION AND TWO WITH OPEN ANSWER. TO PASS THE TEST THE CORRECT RESOLUTION OF AT LEAST TWO PROBLEMS AND ONE THEORETICA QUESTION IS REQUIRED. THE WRITTEN TEST HAS A DURATION OF 1,5 HOURS. THE SECOND PHASE CONCERNS THE PASSING OF AN ORAL EXAM THAT INCLUDES A DISCUSSION OF C. AT 20 MIN. AIMED AT ASSESSING THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING REACHED BY THE STUDENT ON THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENT INDICATED IN THE PROGRAM, AND VERIFYING COMMUNICATION SKILLS, LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND ORGANIZATION OF THE ARGUMENT EXPOSURE. THE VOTE (MIN 18, MAX 30 WITH POSSIBLE PRAISE) IS GIVEN BY THE AVERAGE OF THE EVALUATIONS OBTAINED IN EACH TEST. |
