TO UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRUCTURE AND ACTIVITY OF THE MACROMOLECULES, THE FUNDAMENTAL MECHANISMS OF BIOLOGICAL PROCESSES AT THE MOLECULAR LEVEL, THE METABOLIC PROCESSES AND THEIR INTEGRATION IN THE GENERAL METABOLISM OF THE HUMAN ORGANISM. 2. TO KNOW THE LAWS OF MENDEL, THE MODALITIES OF TRANSMISSION OF THE HEREDITARY CHARACTERS AND THE MUTATIONS CONNECTED TO THE GENETIC PATRIMONY. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT MUST: 3. TO KNOW THE CONCEPT AND THE COUNSELING ACTIVITIES IN THE FIELD OF PRENATAL DIAGNOSIS AND TO ACQUIRE COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO GET IN TUNE WITH THE WOMAN AND THE COUPLE; 4. DEVELOP INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT IN CLINICAL AND INSTRUMENTAL DIAGNOSTICS 5. UNDERSTAND THE CORRECT LIFESTYLES TO BE SHOWN TO WOMEN TO EDUCATE THEM, SINCE ADOLESCENCE, TO MAINTAIN AN OPTIMAL STATE OF HEALTH, SO AS TO ENCOURAGE A FUTURE PREGNANCY AT LOW RISK AND TO PREVENT A PATHOLOGICAL ONE. 6. TO HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUNDAMENTAL NOTIONS CONCERNING NUTRIENTS, FOODS AND NUTRITION, PARTICULARLY DURING PREGNANCY, LACTATION AND IN THE FIRST YEAR OF LIFE OF THE CHILD. 7. PROVIDE INFORMATION ON DIETARY INDICATIONS FOR SOME DISEASES OF GREATER INTEREST 8 TO KNOW THE VARIOUS BLOOD AND CYTOLOGY TESTS TO WHICH THE COUPLE MUST UNDERGO PRECONCEPTION; 9 HAVE SKILLS IN THE USE OF CLINICAL INSTRUMENTAL DIAGNOSTICS (ULTRASOUND OF MINIMAL, OFFICE AND CARDIOTOCOGRAPHY) AND LABORATORY FOR THE IDENTIFICATION AND SELECTION OF LOW-RISK PREGNANCIES AND MONITORING OF PREGNANCY IN DIFFERENT GESTATIONAL AGES. |

TO PASS THE EXAM, STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE TO HAVE ACQUIRED AT LEAST SUFFICIENT (18THS) KNOWLEDGE OF THE TECHNICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL SOURCES. THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (30THS) IS ASSIGNED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF THE METHODOLOGIES AND HAS A CONSIDERABLE ABILITY TO USE THEM IN THE CONTEXT OF STUDY.
