RESEARCH ACTIVITY

The research of Pepe Giacomo is focused on:

  1. Development and optimization of innovative analytical platforms aimed to the identification, synthesis and evaluation of pharmacokinetic and pharmacological properties of new bioactive molecules;
  2. Reutilization and exploitation of agro-industrial by-products and waste through the development of technological model platforms for the production of health-promoting products (functional food and nutraceuticals), capable of modulating basal human physiological processes;
  3. Development of analytical methods aimed to the characterization of heterocyclic compounds and peptide molecules with pharmacological properties.

Co-founder of the spin-off consortium “Sonda srl”starting from 29/09/2022.
The spin-off deals with the development of omics analysis methods for pharmaceutical and medical applications and the development of new therapeutic agents.
