RESEARCH ACTIVITY
The research of Pepe Giacomo is focused on:
- Development and optimization of innovative analytical platforms aimed to the identification, synthesis and evaluation of pharmacokinetic and pharmacological properties of new bioactive molecules;
- Reutilization and exploitation of agro-industrial by-products and waste through the development of technological model platforms for the production of health-promoting products (functional food and nutraceuticals), capable of modulating basal human physiological processes;
- Development of analytical methods aimed to the characterization of heterocyclic compounds and peptide molecules with pharmacological properties.
