Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH ELEMENTS OF THEORY AND PRACTICE IN DIDACTICS, STIMULATING AN AUTONOMOUS CRITICAL REFLECTION ON THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESSES IN FORMAL AND NON-FORMAL CONTEXTS.
LEARNING OUTCOMES. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: AT THE END OF THE COURSE STUDENTS WILL HAVE TO DEMONSTRATE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE DISCIPLINE, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE COGNITIVE, EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS INVOLVED IN THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO APPLY AND INTERPRET THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED TO ENSURE A PROFESSIONAL APPROACH TO TEACHING, SHOWING THE ABILITY TO SOLVE THE COMPLEX PROBLEMS EMERGING FROM THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEACHING AND LEARNING. MAKING JUDGMENTS: AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO COLLECT AND INTERPRET DATA FOR AN INDEPENDENT ASSESSMENT OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESSES INVOLVED IN DIDACTICS. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT MUST SHOW THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE INFORMATION, IDEAS, PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS USING THE SPECIFIC LEXIS OF THE DISCIPLINE. LEARNING SKILLS: AT THE END OF THE COURSE STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE DEVELOPED LEARNING SKILLS THAT ENABLE THEM TO DEEPEN AND FURTHER THEIR STUDIES INDEPENDENTLY.
Prerequisites
THE COURSE REPRESENTS THE FIRST APPROACH TO THE STUDY OF DIDACTICS SO NO PREREQUISITES ARE REQUIRED.

THE COURSE DEALS WITH THE CENTRALITY OF THE DIDACTIC ACTION IN THE TRANSITION FROM A PSYCHOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE OF LEARNING TO A PEDAGOGICAL VISION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS CENTERED ON THE DIALECTICAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEACHING AND LEARNING. IN PARTICULAR, THE MOST IMPORTANT DIDACTIC MODELS AND THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS WILL BE ANALYSED, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE PLANNING, THE COMMUNCATIVE AND THE EVALUATIVE DIMENSIONS OF DIDACTICS.

Verification of learning
THE FINAL ORAL EXAMINATION IS BASED ON QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE ISSUES PROPOSED DURING THE COURSE AND IT ALSO EVALUATES THE ABILITY OF EXPOSING CLEARLY AND WITH A PROPER LANGUAGE.
