Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF BAROQUE ART AND INTRODUCES THE MAIN METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS FOR THEIR STUDY. IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE A MORE ACCURATE HISTORICAL RECONSTRUCTION AND IN-DEPTH CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORKS, STYLISTIC ANALYSIS WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY ICONOGRAPHIC INVESTIGATION AND THE ANALYSIS OF DOCUMENTS AND OTHER SOURCES. THE WORKSHOP INTENDS TO PROVIDES SOME OF THE METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS THAT ARE NECESSARY FOR THE READING OF WORKS OF VISUAL ART AND TO PROVIDE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF PAINTINGS, SCULPTURES AND ARCHITECTURE.
