THE COURSE AIMS AT INTRODUCING THE STUDENTS TO THEORETICAL CONCEPTS OF EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH IN EDUCATION: APPROACHS, METHODS AND TOOLS. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: BEING ABLE TO KNOW THE MAIN THEMES, PROBLEMS AND ASPECTS OF THE CULTURAL, SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL DEBATE ABOUT EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH; ACQUIRE HOW TO CORRECTLY USE THE FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS, SPECIFIC LANGUAGE, METHODOLOGICAL SKILLS IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: USING KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCES ACQUIRED TO SOLVE COMPLEX PROBLEM, SHOWING A PROGRESSIVE DEVELOPMENT OF AUTONOMY AND RESPONSIBILITY. DESCRIBING THE COMPLEXITY OF EDUCATIONAL PHENOMENA AND THE VARIABLES; DESCRIBING METHODS RESULTS THROUGH DATA COLLECTION, CLASSIFICATION AND STORAGE; SELECTING THEORETICAL BASES AS CONCEPTUAL REFERENCE OF AN EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH IN THE EDUCATIONAL FIELD. |

THE COURSE WILL PROPOSE AN INTRODUCTORY REFLECTION ON THE EPISTEMOLOGIES, WHICH GUIDE THE SELECTION OF THE DIFFERENT METHODOLOGICAL OPTIONS. IT WILL ALSO ADDRESS THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE METHODS OF EMPIRICAL RESEARCH IN EDUCATION WITH SPECIFIC REFERENCE TO RESEARCH DESIGNS AND TOOLS FOR DATA COLLECTION. THE EXPERIMENTAL PEDAGOGY LAB INTENDS TO PROMOTE THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN EMPIRICAL RESEARCH PATH IN THE EDUCATIONAL FIELD. THE MAIN CONTENTS OF THE COURSE WILL BE: EMPIRICAL RESEARCH IN EDUCATION; THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RESEARCH PROCESS; THE DUTIES OF THE RESEARCHER; THE RESULTS OF THE RESEARCH AND HOW TO BUILD AND USE THE SURVEY TOOLS. |
