Pasquale Cucco | Curriculum

Building engineer and architect, PhD in "Risk and Sustainability in Civil, Building and Environmental Engineering Systems", then post-doctoral research fellow at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Salerno. Since March 2023, he is Researcher (lett. A) law 240/210 in Architectural Engineering at the same institution, where he teaches in the Degree Course in Building Engineering-Architecture. In 2022 he was awarded the National Scientific Qualification for the position of Professor in SC 08/C1 "Design and Technological Design of Architecture".
Since January 2022 he has been Visiting Researcher at the École National Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles, LeaV Research Laboratory. In 2018, he was Visiting Lecturer at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and International Relations, RTU Department, Riga Technical University, Latvia.
Member of numerous scientific associations, including ICOMOS International Council of Monuments and Sites, ARTEC, AIPAI, SAH and others, he is a member of Editorial and Reviewer Boards of national and international indexed scientific journals, serving as Guest Editor of journals and editor of monographs in refereed series.
He is a member of numerous national and international research projects, many of them awarded following competitive peer review procedures. Since 2016, he has participated as a speaker and as a member of the scientific committee and organiser in several seminars, workshops and congresses in Italy and abroad. Participation as a speaker has involved the presentation of research contributions selected by qualified scientific committees and blind peer review procedures.
His research interests focus mainly on the knowledge, conservation and sustainable recovery of Mediterranean architecture and landscapes, with particular reference to sites of outstanding universal value. He is the author of numerous publications, including monographs, contributions in books, articles in scientific journals and in national and international conference proceedings.
