THE COURSE OF NURSING NOTIONS IS DIVIDED INTO 3 EDUCATIONAL MODULES. GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE ARE AS FOLLOWS: - ACQUISITION OF THE THEORETICAL BASES ON WHICH THE NURSING DISCIPLINE IS BASED. - ACQUISITION OF THE ABILITY TO DESCRIBE THE REASONS WHY THE NURSING DISCIPLINE CAN BE CONSIDERED AS SUCH. - ABILITY TO DESCRIBE THE EVOLUTION OF PARADIGMS AND THEORIES IN RECENT YEARS AND TO KNOW THE FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF SOME NURSING THEORIES. - KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRADITIONAL AND MODERN ROLE OF THE NURSING PROFESSION AND ITS EVOLUTION - KNOWLEDGE RELATING TO THE BASIC NOTIONS OF FOOD SCIENCE AND APPLIED DIETETICS. - PROVIDE THE STUDENT WITH THE TOOLS TO BE ABLE TO DISTINGUISH THE MAIN BIOMARKERS ABLE TO IDENTIFY ANY PATHOLOGIES IN ACTION. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DUBLIN DESCRIPTORS, AT THE END OF THE COURSE AND IN ORDER TO PASS THE EXAM, THE STUDENT WILL NEED TO DEMONSTRATE THAT HE/SHE - HAS ACHIEVED A KNOWLEDGE AND AN ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE MAIN PROCESSES IN ALL THREE TEACHING MODULES. - IS ABLE TO APPLY THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE TO THE NURSING, NUTRITIONAL AND LABORATORY FIELD. - HAS KNOWLEDGE OF THE ROLE OF NUTRIENTS IN HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY, OF BODY COMPOSITION AND OF THE TECHNIQUES USED IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD TO DETERMINE IT, OF THE PHYSIOLOGY OF THE GASTRO-INTESTINAL SYSTEM, OF THE MAIN PATHWAYS OF MODULATION OF FOOD INTAKE AND EATING BEHAVIOUR. - IS ABLE TO DISCUSS AND MAKE CORRELATIONS ON SIMPLE DATA OR HYPOTHESES. - KNOWS HOW TO INDEPENDENTLY AND CRITICALLY EVALUATE ANY DIFFERENT OPINIONS PRESENT ON CERTAIN TOPICS COVERED IN THE COURSE. - RECOGNIZES THE FUNDAMENTAL ROLE OF CORRECT THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE SUBJECT IN CLINICAL PRACTICE AND IN THE FUTURE NURSING PROFESSION. |
