PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION AND DESIGN CRITERIA FOR THE LIQUID-LIQUID EXTRACTION IN STAGES. OPERATING AND DESIGN CRITERIA FOR MULTICOMPONENT DISTILLATION BOTH WITH APPROXIMATE AND EXACT METHODS. OPERATION AND DESIGN OF THE HOLED PLATE OF A DISTILLATION COLUMN. DESCRIPTION OF NON-IDEAL OF THE FLOW IN THE PLATE. OPERATING PRINCIPLES AND DESIGN CRITERIA FOR A COLUMN ADSORPTION / DESORPTION. TRANSVERSAL SKILLS -COMMUNICATION SKILLS : REFINING THE TECHNICAL LANGUAGE CONCERNING UNIT OPERATIONS AND HEAT EXCHANGE NETWORKS AND TAKING AWARE OF THE EXISTENCE OF SPECIFIC COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS. THE EVALUATION OF THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES WILL BE CARRIED OUT WITH A SCRIPT AND AN ORAL INTERVIEW. THE ASSESSMENT OF THE LEARNING OUTCOMES, CARRIED OUT IN THE FINAL EXAMINATION, WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE FOLLOWING EQUIVALENT CRITERIA: A) KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO SOLVE MAJOR ISSUES THAT REQUIRE THE APPLICATION OF EXPRESSED CONCEPTS; B) KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASIC ASSUMPTIONS AND LOGIC OF THE DISCIPLINE; C) ABILITY TO EXTEND THE APPLICATION OF BASIC CONCEPTS TO SOLVE ISSUES IN NEW APPLICATIONS, D) PROPERTY OF LANGUAGE WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE SPECIFIC TERMINOLOGY OF THE DISCIPLINE. THE EXAM WILL BE EVALUATED SUFFICIENT WHEN THE STUDENT IS ABLE TO SET THE DESIGN OF THE OPERATIONS UNIT, USING PROPERLY ALTHOUGH NOT READILY PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL VARIABLES INVOLVED, AND IF IT SHOWS SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE OF THE VOCABULARY OF THE SUBJECT.
