Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THE AIM IS TO INTRODUCE THE STUDENT TO THE SYSTEMATIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF THE MAIN GROUPS ELEMENTS AND RELATED COMPOUNDS WITH REFERENCE TO THE PERIODIC PROPERTIES AND THE LOCATION OF THE ELEMENT IN THE PERIODIC TABLE. SOME REPRESENTATIVE EXAMPLES OF SYNTHETIC PROCEDURE ON INDUSTRIAL SCALE OF WIDELY USED INORGANIC COMPOUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AS WELL AS THEIR APPLICATIONS IN EVERY-DAY LIFE
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
AT THE END OF THIS CLASS THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE BASICAL INORGANIC SYNTHESIS AND WILL HAVE THE BASICAL KNOWLEDGE FOR THE COMPREHENSION FOR MORE ADVANCED INORGANIC CHEMISTRY CLASSES.

MAKING JUDGEMENTS:
STUDENTS ARE STIMULATED TO LEARN IN A DISCRIMINATING WAY EVERYTHING IS PRESENTED DURING THE LESSON THROUGH GROUP EXERCISES, QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSIONS ON EACH ARGUMENT.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
STUDENTS ARE STIMULATED TO IMPROVE THEIR WRITTEN COMUNICATION SKILLS, THROUGH LABORATORY REPORTS AT THE AND OF EACH EXERCISES, AND THEIR ORAL COMUNICATION SKILLS IN PROSPECT OF THE FINAL ORAL EXAM

LEARNING SKILLS:
THIS CLASS IS BASED ON THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GENERAL CHEMISTRY AND AIM TO GIVE KNOWLEDGE ON INORGANIC CHEMISTRY OF MAIN CHEMICAL COMPOUNDS. THE COMPREHENSION OF ITS TOPICS IS FACILITATED BY CLASS AND LABORATORY EXECISES.
