THE COURSE AIMS AT PROVIDING THE ENGINEERING STUDENTS A DEEPENING OF THE LINEAR ELASTIC CONSTITUTIVE LAW, WHICH INCLUDES, FURTHER THAN THE ISOTROPIC CASE, OTHER MATERIAL SYMMETRIES OF INTEREST FOR APPLICATIONS: ORTHOTROPIC AND TRANSVERSELY ISO-TROPIC MATERIALS. IN ADDITION, THE COURSE DEALS WITH THE STUDY OF THE GENERAL PROPERTIES OF THE ELA-STOSTATIC PROBLEM, WHICH ARE USEFUL FOR THE STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS. THE COMPUTATION OF BEAM SYSTEMS HAVING MULTIPLE DEGREES OF INDETERMINACY IS DEVELOPED. IN PAR-TICULAR, THE METHODS OF FORCES AND DISPLACEMENTS ARE INVESTIGATED. FINALLY,THE COURSE ADDRESSES SOME BASIC ASPECTS OF THE ULTIMATE BEARING CAPACITY OF THE STRUCTURES. THEY CONCERN BOTH THE LATERAL BUCKLING OF BEAMS AS WELL AS THE BUCKLING OF PLANE FRAMES. FURTHER, THE THEOREMS OF PLASTIC LIMIT ANALYSI ARE PRE-SENTED. |
