THE STUDENT AT THE END OF THE COURSE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE: KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: ACQUISITION OF KNOWLEDGE ON BIOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF INFORMATIONAL MOLECULES, DNA AND RNA, FROM A STRUCTURAL AND A FUNCTIONAL POINT OF VIEW UNDERSTAND THE MAIN MOLECULAR MECHANISMS INVOLVED IN MICROBIAL VIRULENCE; APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: TO BE ABLE TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ON MOLECULAR PROCESSES ON DUPLICATION, TRANSCRIPTION AND TRANSLATION TO THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE MOLECULAR MECHANISMS OF DRUGS RELATED THESE PROCESSES.BE ABLE TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN MECHANISMS OF BACTERIAL, FUNGAL AND PARASITIC VIRULENCE TO LIMIT THE ONSET AND SPREADING OF HUMAN INFECTIOUS DISEASES; MAKING JUDGEMENTS: TO ABLE TO INTEGRATE HIS KNOWLEDGE ON MOLECULAR PROCESSES OF THE CELL WITH BIOCHEMICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL STUDIES.TO ANALYZE AND INTEGRATE CRITICALLY DIFFERENT CONCEPTS OF BACTERIOLOGY, MYCOLOGY AND PARASITOLOGY, COMMUNICATION SKILLS: HAVE THE ABILITY TO TRANSFER THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE ALSO TO INDIVIDUALS NOT BELONGING TO HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, UTILIZING IT THEORETICALLY AND PRACTICALLY (IN LABORATORY ANALYSES) LEARNING SKILLS: TO BE ABLE TO UPDATE HIS KNOWLEDGE THROUGH SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS ON MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND MICROBIOLOGY. |
