Objectives
THE MODULE AIMS AT DEVELOPING KNOWLEDGE, CRITICAL THINKING AND DECISION-MAKING SKILLS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATIONAL PRACTICES.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
BY THE END OF THE MODULE THE STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING REGARDING THE ORGANISATIONAL ASPECTS OF INCLUSION IN EDUCATIONAL CONTEXTS
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
BY THE END OF THE MODULE, THE STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE BY ELABORATING, PROMOTING AND MANAGING EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS AIMED AT PROMOTING INCLUSIVE PROCESSES.

AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT:
BY THE END OF THE COURSE, THE STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE ABILITY IN INTEGRATING KNOWLEDGE AND MANAGE THE EDUCATIONAL COMPLEXITIES, REACHING OWN CONCLUSIONS AND REFLECTING ON THE SOCIAL AND ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITY LINKED TO ORGANISATIONAL ACTION AND FAVOUR INCLUSION.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
BY THE END OF THE MODULE, THE STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE CLEARLY AND EFFICACIOUSLY WITH DIFFERENT STAKEHOLDERS INVOLVED IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS.
LEARNING SKILLS:
BY THE END OF THE MODULE, THE STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY HAVE ACQUIRED THE INDISPENSABLE LEARNING SKILLS TO FURTHER THEIR LEARNING THROUGH SELF-DIRECTED AND AUTONOMOUS APPROACHES.

Prerequisites
CONSIDERING THE CONTINUITY ON THE THEMES OF SPECIAL DIDACTICS AND PEDAGOGY STUDIED IN THE PREVIOUS YEARS, THE STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE THEORETICAL, CONCEPTUAL AND LEGISLATIVE PROCESSES RELATED TO INCLUSIVE POLICIES AND PRACTICES IN EDUCATION.

THE MODULE WILL ANALYSE THE ORGANISATIONAL DIMENSIONS OF INCLUSIVE PROCESSES WITHIN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS AND WILL CONCENTRATE ON THE FOLLOWING ASPECTS:
- THE THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES OF ORGANISATIONAL ACTION (CONTEXTS, CHANGE, LEARNING, DECISION MAKING PROCESSES);
- THE FORMS OF ORGANISATIONAL ACTION (PARTICIPATION, REFLECTIONS, ETHICAL DIMENSION, EVALUATION, TRANSFORMATIVE PROCESSES, CORPOREAL DIMENSION)
- THE METHODS AND TECHNIQUES OF ORGANISATIONAL ACTION (EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING, SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING, SIMULATION TECHNIQUES, VISUAL LEARNING ETC.).
- ANALYSIS AND THEORISATION OF THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES THROUGH WHICH THE DIFFERENT ORGANISATIONS FACE THE POSSIBLE UNEXPECTED EVENT.
Teaching Methods
THE 36-HOUR MODULE WILL BE DELIVERED THROUGH LECTURES WITH THE USE OF POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS. THESE WILL BE FOLLOWED BY AND INTEGRATED WITH DISCUSSIONS, QUESTION TIMES AND CASE STUDIES. COOPERATIVE LEARNING ACTIVITIES ARE ALSO ENVISAGED. THESE ARE AIMED AT PROMOTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS’ CRITICAL THINKING WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE ORGANISATIONAL DIMENSION OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION.
Verification of learning
AN ORAL EXAM AIMED AT EVALUATING THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED REGARDING ORGANISATIONAL ASPECTS IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION AND THE STUDENTS’ ABILITY TO THINK OF POSSIBLE ACTIONS OR PROJECTS FOR THE PROMOTION OF INCLUSIVE PROCESSES. THE STUDENTS’ COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN PRESENTING THEIR ARGUMENTS WILL ALSO BE ASSESSED. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT STUDENTS ACQUIRE THE LEXIS NECESSARY TO BE ABLE TO INTEGRATE AND LINK THE VARIOUS THEMES AND IDEAS IN A CRITICAL AND AUTONOMOUS MANNER.
THE FINAL MARK IS OUT OF 30. IN CASES WHERE STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE EXCELLENCE IN THEIR PERFORMANCE, THE MAXIMUM MARK IS 30 CUM LAUDE.
