Objectives
THE WORKSHOP, SET UP IN COLLABORATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY'S ICT CENTRE FOR CULTURAL HERITAGE, AIMS TO PROVIDE DOCTORAL STUDENTS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET TO KNOW AND USE FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES THE MOST UP-TO-DATE APPLICATIONS AND THE MOST EFFECTIVE DIGITAL TOOLS USED FOR THE STUDY, PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE.

THE WORKSHOP WILL BE DIVIDED INTO TWO PHASES: THE FIRST WILL BE AN ILLUSTRATION BY LECTURERS OF TECHNOLOGICAL TOOLS AND DIGITAL APPLICATIONS THAT CAN BE USEFULLY EMPLOYED IN RESEARCH, PROTECTION, COMMUNICATION AND ENHANCEMENT OF CULTURAL HERITAGE. ASPECTS AND EXAMPLES OF INTERNET OF THINGS, AR, AI APPLIED TO HERITAGE WILL BE ILLUSTRATED. IN THE SECOND PHASE OF THE WORKSHOP, PHD STUDENTS WILL APPLY, WITH THE COLLABORATION OF ICT RESEARCHERS, SOME OF THESE TECHNOLOGIES TO SPECIFIC OBJECTS OF STUDY AND THEN DEMONSTRATE THEIR EFFECTIVENESS.
